In three separate 1/2 day modules you will gain simple yet effective techniques to boost student interest, attention and acquisition of content. Appropriate to all grade levels, these asynchronous modules may be watched according to your busy schedule.

Module 1 - Learn the Tech
Learning technology may seem like an obvious component of educational technology, but this initial phase will ask
educators to take a deeper look into the technology they will be using (or considering using), to ensure it will be an effective and engaging tool for students. Teachers will apply techniques of exploration, reflection, and engagement during this phase. Each of these containing a blueprint for success, and sets a foundation for educational technology.
Module 2 - Master the Tech
Mastering the tech requires individuals to go beyond the basics of technology literacy. Not only do we need to go through a formal evaluation of our current lesson plans we need to become mini experts in the technology that we use. This phase includes the processes of modifying, remodeling, and regulating. This section is one of the most challenging for educators but also comes with the greatest benefits.
Module 3 - Teach the Tech
This phase of the technology integration framework is one that is always overlooked and taken for granted. We can’t assume that students know how to use the technology resource, we need to give deliberate opportunities for them. We participate in the stages of exploration, reflection, and engagement. Through specifics in each of these stages, students will gain comfort in the use and application of the technology for educational purposes, you will address some concerns of the digital divide, and students and teachers will have a rewarding experience.
Dr. Jennifer Calito is the founder of Education Under Construction Consulting LLC, a consulting firm dedicated to enhancing education, training, and culturally diverse
workplaces. She strives for meaningful and engaging interactions with peers,
analyzing and implementing educational initiatives for teachers and students, and
fostering relationships for building strong school culture. Jennifer believes that
every student should have an opportunity to experience education with confidence, in a method that motivates them and allows students to be successful. In her aspirations to make these philosophies a reality, she has achieved the necessary knowledge through five academic degrees, implementation of innovative ideas and programs in education, and develops scholarly research to contribute to the academic body of knowledge. In addition to being an educational consultant, Jennifer enjoys playing the piano, karaoke, being a personal Uber to her three children, and relaxing in the Caribbean on a cruise ship with friends and family!

A $15.00 fee will be charged for cancellations made in writing prior to the deadline. No refunds will be given after the deadline.
