Come and learn how the C3 Framework will totally change your approach to teaching the social sciences. Dr. Craig Gaska will lead you in discovering how to make college, career, and civic life come live in your classroom.


Workshop attendees will:
· Explore the “inquiry arc” that frames the way students study social studies.
· Learn how the C3 Framework is organized and used for lesson and unit planning.
· Discover how the C3 Framework aligns with and supports the Common Core.
· Consider and discuss the suggested activities found in the Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology appendices        and how they apply to you.
· Practice creating authentic assessments for the C3 Framework.

The C3 Social Studies framework invites you and your students to walk through a door leading to a personal experience with social studies that will create new levels of excitement and engagement that will last a lifetime.

Dr. Craig Gaska, is an educational consultant, presenter, and facilitator serving schools and school districts. He has been in the field of education for over 40 years. During his career he has been an elementary classroom teacher, elementary assistant principal,
elementary principal, and college professor. He holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, masters and education specialist’s degrees in educational administration, and a doctorate in curriculum and instruction. He has taught science methods at the undergraduate level; assessment at the undergraduate and master's levels; child psychology, adolescent psychology, classroom dynamics, and teacher
leadership at the master's level; and, organizational dynamics at the doctoral level.

A $15.00 fee will be charged for cancellations made in writing prior to the deadline.
