Dr. Dee Ann Schnautz is an assistant professor of practice at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, specializing in training future early childhood and elementary teachers. With a diverse educational background, she taught in a 2nd-3rd combined rural classroom and later transitioned to roles including 6th-8th grade teacher, middle school assistant principal, elementary principal, and district administrator overseeing curriculum, instruction, and assessment in a city school. Currently, Dr. Schnautz actively coaches principals in school improvement, mentors new teachers, and trains instructional coaches, contributing to her ongoing impact in the field of education.
